BGHS Tops MUSD!!
Great news just in from Newsweek magazine: BGHS has been ranked as one of the top high schools in the nation, and definitely better than Schurr and Montebello. BGHS was ranked #1065 and Schurr was #1214.

Congratulations to Dave Newell!
Congratulations to Coach Dave Newell who will be retiring from Bell Gardens High School in two weeks. There was a celebratory gathering at Maggie's Pub on Friday, May 29th, 2009 with lot's of ex-players, students, and staff members. BG Hoops.Com would like to thank Coach Newell for the positive influence he's had on our program as a coach and athletic director.Coach Newell is considered a Southern California football coaching legend and it will be a sad day around "The Gardens" when he's not around here every day anymore. Congratulations Coach Newell, too bad for us.
